School with a Smile – 2019 Inauguration ceremony

A 3000 Rupees worth student pack could be nothing for us, but it’s worth a million for the destitute who are in most of the cases in abject poverty.” Education for children is important, no matter what poverty the family is going through. It’s tough to see the dropout rates in schools increasing drastically. Parents find it hard to afford stationary to send their children to school with a broad smile.

ZamZam Foundation’s School with a Smile Project supports our children, the leaders of tomorrow to pursue their education without any obstacle. So far over the past four year, more than 46,000 students have benefited across Sri Lanka. 

For the year 2019, 15,000 benefited from this project. The launch of the project was held at BMICH with the presence of Hon. Karu Jayasuriya, Ven. Galkande Dhammananda Thero, Ash-Sheikh M.M.A Mubarak and Mr. Kumara Sangakkara.

Team Zam Zam personally visited all areas of distribution and conducted events within the vicinity to promote social harmony and to distribute these gift hampers to deserving kids. The team visited Udunuwara, Deltota, Moneragala, Wewaldeniya, Trincomalee, Eravur, Weligama, Ratnapura, Kolonnawa and Dehiwala.
