Creating a better environment for education is a collective social responsibility

Zam Zam Team visited Silavathurai, Thalai Mannar and Musali areas in Mannar District for the final distribution event of School with a Smile 2017 project. Distributed 771 study packs to the children in Musali resettlement areas covering Students from all ethnic communities.

This was done in partnership with Mr. Cader Masthan, Member of Parliament and Al-Haj. M. Jiffrey. During the visit our team also observed the housing issues of resettled communities in the district.

Objectives of “School with a Smile” Project is as follows :

To provide support for low income families living in poverty.

To reduce primary school dropout rate.

To promote ethnic harmony among different communities.

“One of the main objective of SWS project is to use the power of education to change the lives of children that are underprivileged or living in poverty.”
